Note: This magnetopause compression is likely associated with the arrival around 2023-12-01T20Z of the flux rope of the ICME that had arrived 2023-12-01T08:15Z. The flux rope arrival is followed by a prolonged period of steady southward Bz and an increase in solar wind density. However, such strong response is unexpectedly strong for the values of solar wind density reported.
